For the first time, I have enjoyed this semester.
I have enjoyed studying and learning about new topics.
I have enjoyed meeting new people.
I have enjoyed actually having a life, and getting out and doing things.
I have enjoyed the fact that I'm not constantly stressed out.
I have enjoyed the fact that I really haven't put that much pressure on me to succeed this semester.
But the fact of it just came natually.
I have enjoyed everything about this semester.
Everything has been new.
And I did great this semester. I am looking at 2 A's, 2 A-'s, and I honestly don't know in the other class. Probably a B.
So I go and I take my final on Monday, and I come back and fall asleep. I get up around noon, cuz I have to start studying for my accounting final. I send an e-mail to my mom and i'm putzing around on facebook, and all of a sudden the room starts spinning, and lets just say, I spent the next 5 hours laying in my bed sleeping! It was not pretty. I end up finally getting up, eating crackers and drinking gatorade since I have nothing left in my stomach, and I do know that I need to eat. So I go the library and study accounting til 9ish. Go to the pancake breakfast, and then come back and pass out. I get up and am really happy that my final isn't until 1:20 (why they have an 8:15 class, final be at 1:20 still blows my mind), and I go take my final. But anyway, I ended up making an 86 on my accounting final! After I had been sick, and not really studied that much! So ya. Maybe I should switch my major to accounting.. haha. No I like medicine, and i love children. So I'm sticking with my double major. So that was my exciting start to the beginning of finals. Haha. Off to study biostats! Whoot! :) One more final! Then packing and heading to K-town.. then not sure where I'm going from there. Be home sometime between friday night and sunday afternoon.

my 22nd birthday
well my 22nd birthday has come and gone. I am now 22. Wow. So I spent this weekend packing up things, that are going home, eating out with my parents and travis, and just laying around doing nothing. And now this week, I have a final every day, and then on Thursday I'm packing everything that I left, and putting it in my car and heading to k-town. I'm going to visit a friend of my mom's there. Her children are part of a program that sounds a lot like what I want to do with my major whenever I get my crazy college degree, and I'm going to go and observe what all they do there. so i'm really excited about that. and I expect to be back in the boro sometime late friday. Guess i will see y'all then. Good luck on finals. Got one at 8 am.. so i'm going to get some sleep. pictures to come :)

Catch me up.. on whats been going on...
life really is amazing when you can sit back at the end of the semester and not really have to stress about how you do on your finals, because your grades are already so good, that it doesn't really matter how bad you mess up the final, you've already got a B in the class. Lol. Or its really amazing that my professor yesterday told us we didn't have to take the exam 4 which was the final, and we could take all the averages of our other tests, and use that for exam 4. I've got an A- in that class, and it is done. Its really funny how in Biostats right now, we have 1 day to cover 2 more chapters and also turn in 3 homework assignments. Lol.
I've been thinking about staying up here, and maybe next summer I might. I don't really have a place to live, and thats being one of the major draw backs. I'm just finding it really hard to find a summer job, when most people are looking for someone who is going to be a home on a reg basis. I've got 4 months to work. I'm not going on any vactations, and what I really want to do is work in the hospital or with children. We shall see how that goes, when I get back home on the first. I'm also not excited about coming back home for the first time in my life. Things have changed this semester, and I've grown. Its kinda wierd.
I'm taking 19 hours next semester. I'm actually really excited. I've changed my schedule around. I'm now taking a nutrition class, where I get to cook. This is a good thing, since I'll be living in the apartment next semester and will actually be able to cook. I'm excited about that class. And I'm also taking a Spirituality Course. I'm not sure what all that entails, but it sounds interesting.. and of course human sexuality, is always great ;) haha. I'm going Tuesdays from 815 to 550 without any breaks, and then on Thursdays i'm done by 330. And I've only got one MWF class. And a Monday night class. So I have Mondays and Wednesdays to study, and Fridays to do whatever I wanna.
Anyway, off for my busy day. Had class and a presentation to give, now to work on biostats, go to a public health meeting, biostats meeting to make sure we are doing things right, studying for accounting test tomorrow, and then The Well. Welcome to my life :)

Does Anybody Hear Her?
CASTING CROWNS LYRICS
"Does Anybody Hear Her"
She is running
A hundred miles an hour in the wrong direction
She is trying
But the canyon's ever widening
In the depths of her cold heart
So she sets out on another misadventure just to find
She's another two years older
And she's three more steps behind
Does anybody hear her?
Can anybody see?
Or does anybody even know she's going down today
Under the shadow of our steeple
With all the lost and lonely people
Searching for the hope that's tucked away in you and me
Does anybody hear her? Can anybody see?
She is yearning
For shelter and affection
That she never found at home
She is searching
For a hero to ride in
To ride in and save the day
And in walks her prince charming
And he knows just what to say
Momentary lapse of reason
And she gives herself away
Does anybody hear her? Can anybody see?
Or does anybody even know she's going down today
Under the shadow of our steeple
With all the lost and lonely people
Searching for the hope that's tucked away in you and me
Does anybody hear her? Can anybody see?
If judgement looms under every steeple
If lofty glances from lofty people
Can't see past her scarlet letter
And we never even met her
If judgement looms under every steeple
If lofty glances from lofty people
Can't see past her scarlet letter
And we never even met her
Never even met her
Does anybody hear her? Does anybody see?
Or does anybody even knows she's going down today

So in the past week...
Lol. Wow, its been a week since I was last on here. My life has been really busy. I've got so many tests, a paper, and a presentation due in these next two weeks. I'm about ready to go crazy. Atleast I don't have more than one test a day. I've registered for classes last week. I'm taking 19 hours :D. My schedule does not look that bad:
These past few weeks, since I guess getting back from Spring Break, and I realized that I am staying here, have been awesome. Things are falling into place, and just keep getting better. It's almost going to be weird coming home for 4 months. I never thought that I would ever end up saying that. So anyway, I'm going to get off of here. Got a biostats meeting at 3, for the test on Tuesday. Got a quiz tomorrow, I need to study for. Work a little more on my paper. And then hopefully watching Desperate Housewives with someone :). Oh, and I have to find time too eat also. I will see y'all in a few weeks!
- MW at 920, which is volleyball :).
- MWF at 10:25.. this is going to be my boring class. Environmental Sanitation. BORING!
- Monday night class at 4 which is cultural competency and spirituality
- Tuesday night class also at 4, which is family health and human sexuality.
- And then three classes on TR that don't start til 9:45, so at least I can sleep in a little. They are going to Community Nutrition, Principles and Practices of Health Education, and Counseling Theory and Practice.
- I'm also going to be doing childcare at church. Hopefully, I can be on the social team for the well, and then also become a member of PHSA (Public Health Students Association), if not an officer. And then another thing. But thats in God's hands right now. If all these things work out, I will be very busy next semester, which will keep my mind at ease. I'm just hoping that I'm not taking on too much. So thats whats going on in my life.

Change...
... this is a word that brings fear to everyone! But I've been thinking about it recently. Change is sometimes a good thing.
I mean, me moving to TN was a change for me. That was 10 years ago, and I really consider it to be the best change that could have ever happened to me. I wonder what my life would be like if I wouldn't have moved here. I wonder what would be different in my life. If I would have different views. If I would still be in college. What it would be like to see my grandparents any time that I want, instead of just once a year, during Christmas. I wonder what group of friends I would have gotten into. I wonder what classes I would have skipped. I wonder what sports I would have gotten involved in in high school. But at the same time, its a good thing, cuz I had grown up with those people, they knew all about my surgeries that I had when I was younger, and they looked at me wierd.
Change, me getting kicked out of nursing school. I thought that was like the worst thing that could have ever happened. I mean that was the only thing that I had thought about for the past 9.5 years of my life had suddenly it was gone. Ripped right away from me. Expecially since I was so close. It turns out, that was another good change. My life does not revolve around school. I am enjoying my classes for the first time since I started college, and I am actually wanting to learn. I have time to hang out with people, and to get more involved, which will be happening in the fall! :)
Change. Many people say that the change that I took over this past summer was bad. Looking back on it. It might have been. Well not all of it was bad, but a few aspects. Me dating Jake this summer, was probably a good thing for me. It was what I needed in my life. I learned that you really should listen to your gut. Some people are just meant to be friends, and only friends. I'm certain that this past summer was the reason why going back to school in the fall was so hard for me. I'm pretty certain that it was the reason for my distraction, and everything else that happened. This past summer was full of changes. I made a brand new group of friends, I fell in love with the kids I babysit for, and I loved every minute of it.
So how can you argue that change is a bad thing, when you can look back on the past and be like.. oh so this happened for this reason. There are times in your life, when you are unsure of why things are happening. You won't know why at the time, it might be a few years, or decades later, but there are reasons for everything happening. Change.. it is things that happen in your life. Some are good, some are bad. Some are beyond your control, some of them you make for yourself. But all of them God has plans. Everything that has happened in my life has just made me stronger, and honestly, I thank Him everyday for the changes in my life. Not even sure if this makes any sense.. just something I've been thinking about.

2 Corinthians 4:8
So, I've been thinking. I know, I change my mind so much. I've been looking at the classes, and really wondering if I am management material. And really, I don't see me being a manager. So, this made me stop and think about what I really want to do. I want to work with children. I want to help people. So what types of jobs can I get with this? I have now decided that I think I want to do a double major, instead of a dual concentration. I can work in a health clinic, i can work in a day care, i can watch kids, i can do health aspects, nutrition aspects, I can do pretty much anything that I want.. lol.
I am thinking about doing a Public Health Major with a concentration in Community Health. And also a major in Human Services (Human Development and Learning) with a concentration in Human Development. I will also get a minor in nutrition. These degrees will allow me to work with children, giving them advice about proper nutrition, and things along those lines. I have an email to the advisor, and I'm thinking that a few of my nursing classes should be able to transfer over to this major. So I can be done with my 2 majors and my minor by Spring of 2010.. and then do my internship fall of 2010, since that class in itself is 12 credit hours. And then graduate officially from college in Winter of 2010. This is all dependent on what the advisor says.
No matter what, I am doing Public Health with a concentration in Community Health. And a minor in nutrition. Now if I can get enough of my nursing classes to transfer over to this 2nd major, I will get a double major. More about this later :)
2 Corinthians 4:8 - We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair. We were talking about this entire chapter in bible study today and it just hit me. Everyone needs to go and check out that chapter. But that verse just seems to speak to me. Perplexed, but not in despair.. aghh.. He is amazing. We are confused.. but we will never lose hope. This is what I needed to hear. And on that note, I'm falling asleep.

Procrastination at its best!
So, I've been thinking, why do we have such motivation to finish things that aren't due til the end of the month, but things that are due in the next week, hardly gets done without sitting down and forcing yourself to do it? I mean, I did that with my Health Systems presentation, it isn't due till April 23, and its done. Lol. In my Health Service Adminstration class, I have a 10 page paper due, and granted I have 4 pages, but that isn't due til the 17th. Now, my Issue 4 over Global Warming due for my Science and the Modern World class, on the 9th. I have 2 sentences written and 20 pages to read. Lol. Its all funny. And anytime that I have nothing to do.. I'll sit down and do Wiley for Accounting, just cuz its fun, even if we haven't talked about everything in class. So thats my thoughts.
I also find it funny that I have really high A's in all my classes, minus my gen ed. Now, maybe its just me, but I thought that gen eds were supposed to be the easy classes. I mean its not like i'm doing bad. I've still got like 89 or higher in all my classes, until i get these tests back, so we shall see. I'm really hoping to have straight a's this semester.
I've been thinking about what I want for my birthday, since it is in less than a month. And normally I hate giving out lists. I hate making people shop for me. But like this year, I'm like.. hmm.. I want Chacos, tennis skirts, vera bradley, and shirts, and i'm just rattling off things that I want. I wonder what has changed. Makes life easy for my parents. And they are coming up that weekend to help me move out of the dorm, and that means that I get a big bed! With lots of pillows!! :D
My sister is coming into town this weekend and spending the entire weekend with me. I'm so looking forward to it. Even if we do spend all weekend studying, it will be nice to have a break. She hasn't been up her since she looked around this campus for PT school. So anyway, guess I should stop procrastinating. I'm done with the major things that are due this week. Next big thing. A Biostats test.. on the 10th :( Lets see if I can figure out chapters 8 and 9 by then.. highly doubting it!
