We decided to go to Indiana and visit with family since we probably won't be able to go at all during Christmas. This is the first time Thanksgiving wasn't held down here or at our old house. I was thinking about that when were driving up there. It has been 11 years since we moved and every year before we moved we had about 5 or 6 long tables and would have everyone (family and people from church) about 30 to 40 in all that would come over and we would have dinner at our place. I kinda miss that. When I think about how things were back then, how it was this time, and how its going to be next year, I get a little tear-eyed. I think about how I will be married next year, and we still don't know how things are going to work. It wouldn't be bad if everyone was in the same town, but no, our families that are combining are about 3.5 hours away! Not really traveling time :(
Anyway, it doesn't make sense, but its just what I'm thinking. I was productive even though we spent 5 hours in the car. I purchased my future in-laws present before we left Indy and saved 100 dollars on their present! :) I then went out when we got back into town and I went and found my fiances present along with his sisters. Didn't save lots there, but thats okay. I love them, and Kenneth and I have told each other that we aren't spending lots on it. So its all good. Now I just have to focus on my sisters!
I have 3 more days of internship left. I then have to go and take the field exam and give my presentation. I have been working on getting my binder for that done, and then also getting my wedding binder complete. I figure if I'm not working insane hours, I can at least focus on that. My garter came in and I'm planning on sending out save the dates early January. I wanted to send them out in Dec, but I figured that it might get lost with the Christmas things. And we still have a little more editing to do on the guest list. We have about 120. Not a bad number. I also have to figure out when his sister is sending them out and space them out from there. I am also heading to Florida early December to pick up Becky's car that she bought so daddy doesn't have to drive it all the way back.
Anyway, that's whats been going on. Its keeping very busy. Hopefully it will slow down some :)

Graduation..
So I am thinking I shouldn't have waited so long to think about graduation. My mind has been so focused on the wedding and then the school work that comes with an internship and I haven't given much thought to my actual graduation. I think I decided that I was walking. December 19 at 10 am! I did pre-order my cap and gown so thats a positive. But I haven't gotten any graduation invitations or anything along those lines, and graduation is close to 30 days away! Can you say that I might be in trouble! :) Whoops!
Also, I think I might have finished my presentation for my internship. We have to give a 30 minute presention to the class about our semester. What we did, how they can improve the program, our goals for the next years of our lives. That sorta stuff. Not that hard to complete since thats what I've been doing my entire semester. But I have 30 slides and its supposed to be 30 minutes. I may end up talking more. Probably not, since I will be wanting to get out of there and head up to see the girls.
I think I have decided that I am going to stay in Knoxville that Wednesday night, JC that Thursday and Friday, and then travel down to Columbia, SC and see the kids on Saturday and Sunday, and then spend Monday driving back to the Boro. And also my friends from JC. We are already talking where we can go, and what places to go back and visit! So excited about seeing them. But I am also excited about actually seeing Columbia. If you don't know, this is one of the places Kenneth and I have talked about moving to when he gets into Law School. They have an awesome law program. Suprisingly, we had been discussing that long before I found out that the kids were moving there. Thats just an added bonus. Sadly, it will probably be another 2ish years before we go there.
On other news. The bridesmaid dress that was talked about in the last post, is in! I know, shocking! Kenneth will be picking that up when he goes and visits his parents for Thanksgiving. He is a little in shock that its the last Thanksgiving and Christmas for that matter that it will be "normal". Because come next year, Laura will be married to Ben and I will be married to him, so things will be different, just means more food to cook :). I keep telling him the hard thing will be when they are moved back to TX and we are in SC. That when it will be a change.
Anyway, just thought I would give a quick update! Off to fill out jobs, work on the last little bits of my presentation, work on my tobacco lessons which need to get done, and finally cook dinner for Kenneth and I. Life is crazy. I honestly can't wait for Dec 8th to get here. I will actually get to sleep in past 6:30am.. until I get that job!

Does life slow down after graduation?!?!
So I went to Memphis this past weekend to try on Bridesmaids dresses for my future sister-in-law wedding. She is getting married next July and Kenneth and I are getting married next Oct. Can you say busy time for his family! Oh and they are the only children :) Anyway. She asked me to be a bridesmaid and I said yes! So we went to try on dresses. We ended up coming away with this one:
Her colors are black and white, so the dress is going to be in black, and then we also got a little cummerbund looking thing that will go around and attach under the boobs. It looks very cute on everyone! Oh, and it has POCKETS!
Anyway, while I was there I tried on a few wedding dresses. After I made sure it was okay with Laura, future sister-in-law, and my future mother-in-law. I came away with two that I really liked and almost bought one right then! But now looking back on it, I'm torn. Of course I can't post pics on here, cuz Kenneth looks at this site a lot. But I sent them to my sister and she picked the one I liked at the Davids here, not the one I fell in love with there. I kinda wish I could have a mixture of both. I just don't know. I don't think I can wait until late Dec or even worse next March to go try on dresses with my family.
I graduate in almost a month. I am filing out job applications like crazy. Once Dec. 19 hits, I am going to be one of the 4.5 million uninsured Americans :( Not that I want to be one, I just can't find a job, that will give me benefits, and I can't pick up Kenneths till after we get married. So that's a big bunch of boo!
Anyway, just a very quick update, all wedding related! Hehe. I swear my life hasn't become that. Or maybe it has. All is what I do anymore is work at my internship, which is almost over, work at da roger, and hang out. Yet, I feel like there is little time to do anything else :(

Vacation!
Boy was that trip needed! Even though I don't really think we rested or relaxed any. I think we walked a good 15ish miles over the course of 4 days, but we had a great time! I am going to post some pics.. starting with this one.. the reason why I don't have very many pics of the first day..

My lovely memory card decided to have a meltdown or something and erased every picture on there. This included all my favorite pictures I had taken over the past 5 years of having the camera and also about 30ish from my internship work that I had done, and finally about 100 from the parade and Epcot! :( Boo Mr. Memory Card!
So anyway, the first day we did this!

and this..

The parade was amazing, and I am really sad that I wasn't able to get any pictures from it. We were able to get into the park at 4 pm, and ride the rides. There were 2 parades one at 815 and another at 1030. We chose to do the 1030 parade and and ride the rides until we absolutely couldn't anymore. There was also this amazing fireworks display that took place around 930. It was amazing.

I was really happy to see all the decorations in the browns and oranges and yellows.. since those are after all the wedding colors. I was thinking about taking a few of this design home with me, and using them at the entrances for the wedding. Wouldn't it look cute. Complete with Mickey and all :)

I enjoyed seeing all the characters...

Especially these two!

All in all it was a great trip. I am so happy we were able to share this time with our friends. And meet a new one! We are already planning another trip. Only this time it will be a trip to a water park.. its HOT down there, a hopper pass for all the parks, the Halloween Parade, and finally a few days in Universal, since that is the best park! :)
