Now this isn't to sound mean or anything with the people who are graduating, but it is so frustrating that I have been in school for a total of five years now, and I still have 9 hours to take this summer, and then a 12 hour internship. I should be graduating right now. I have been busting my butt taking 19 hour semesters so I can get out of school and get into the real world. And doing good. I know I am, especially when a 95 or higher is an A, and that's what I've been making in most of my classes. I am so tired of tests, pointless homework assignments, and everything else that teachers throw at us.
I want to be done with school. I'm tired of going into debt because school is so expensive. I'm tired of being so far away from my family and my boyfriend. I'm just tired of it all!! I should be graduating. I have 160 hours! And I still need 21 more! JUST LET ME OUT! Its so frustrating. I hate nursing school for this reason. If I hadn't dated Jake. If I wouldn't have became so attached to Hope when she was born. If I hadn't been missing my family like crazy. If I hadn't had had roommate problems that semester. Everything would have been fine. I would probably still be in nursing school. I would be done. I would have a great job, in L&D or NICU and I would be on cloud nine. Stupid .2 rule!!! A 74.3.. needed a 75.. it still makes me furious.
But then I think about all the friends I have made here in the CoPH (College of Public Health). How amazing the professors are and I wonder, if I would still be the same person I am today. Probably not. When I look at it that way it makes me wonder. I know things work out for a reason. And I know that I just haven't seen it yet, but I should be graduating with everyone this semester, and that upsets me when I think about it :'(

You can't discover new oceans unless you have the courage to lose sight of the shore
Since December both Kenneth and I have known that we have wanted to get married. I knew late October, early November. Problem is engagement rings cost money. With a limited job, you can't really afford a ring. So since December him and I have been having discussions on how we want the wedding to look, who we want there, and things of the like. We have been thinking about my schooling, his law schooling, and my nursing path. We have had talks about what types of houses we want, where we want to live, children, how we are going to pay for things, and anything. I have never been more sure of anything in my life.
We know the colors, the place, who we want there, and even a potential date. We know where we are going to live after, we know our honeymoon destination, and we have come up with an awesome idea for favors! We know we want a small wedding. Like uber small. Its not about the gifts people bring, it is about the fact that we love one another and we a very select few to share in our happiness. I think that tends to get lost somewhere along the way when couples get engaged. We have made sure that we keep our priorities on us. The focus to be on us.
We have been planning and thinking and knowing for so long that its crazy that the time has finally come to where it is almost time that we get engaged. Yes, I have a general idea on when its going to happen, but we are talking about month time spans, not weeks or days. Well, I'm thinking more and more about not even worrying about planning a wedding and just eloping. We both want a small wedding. What is smaller than a court house with our family? It would take away the stress of everything.
I know he will make every day that I live fun. I know I will be smiling from ear to ear. I know that he would provide for me, for us. I know that he loves my cooking. I know that he won't pressure me to do things I don't want to. I know that life is just better with him around me. I know that he loves me. I know that I love him!
You can't discover new oceans unless you have the courage to lose sight of the shore. If someone would have told me a year ago that I would be where I am, I would have laughed. I will tell you that I did not go into this relationship expecting a turn-out like this. I wasn't even expecting this turn out even in September. Its amazing how things progress and where life leads. Never be scared to look beyond something.
Yea, so anyway, like my header says.. I've learned that regardless of how hot and steamy a relationship is at first, the passion fades and there had better be something else to take its place. I have that with Kenneth. We have the passion, but we also have the serious talks. The what if this happens. The where do we go from this point. The I don't know you pick topics. I have that with him.
I know I kept my relationships a secret ever since Graham and I ended things, and I know that people did not like Graham and I together. And our break-up was partially due to the negative hostility that we kept getting. Not only from our friends, but from my family. But most of it was due to me moving away. So that is where I learned to keep my feelings to myself, and not talk about this. But Kenneth and I are going on 10 months now. And I thought this was something that had to be shared.

Life Really Couldn't Be Better
I know my emotions have been on a roller coaster ride. I know life has been pretty crazy. But I have taken today off, and decided that I'm not going to do any work. And it has worked out rather nicely.
I have gotten my substitution form signed. I am one step closer to completing what I want to complete. I have an interview when I come back home in May. Hopefully it goes well.
I get to babysitting my kiddos over night when I get back too! I can't believe the time has come for them to leave. Seems like just yesterday I was getting a call, and she was introducing herself, and how she found my name. I can't believe its been so long since October, when I was babysitting for her while she went on a business trip, and her coming in and telling me GA took a job, and they were moving. It is sadness.
I am trying to do what I can of packing up most of my school stuff that is probably going to end up setting in storage for another year, until Kenneth and I can find a place of our own. I don't have many boxes so it makes it hard to do.
I have my AT&T phone disconnected. Which means my number has now been ported over to Verizon and I can send and receive calls! Its also awesome having the internet at my finger tips. Kenneth just likes that he can get on You-Tube anytime he wants.
My parents are coming up on Saturday. I get to sleep in an awesome bed with 4 pillows to myself! And we are going out to eat for my birthday then too.
I have 4 more days of school, then 3 days of finals. I need to buckle down, focus and finish up. We will see how I do.
Christi graduates in less than a month. She has prom this Friday. I remember prom. Haha. Hmmm.
Like I said life couldn't be better. 240 days!!! :)

This is going to be a long one :D
This weekend has been awesome!! I had Kenneth here, I got a new blackberry, I had nursery, and I made some wicked awesome BBQ Meatballs! And next weekend is when my parents come up and we celebrate my birthday!
I can't believe that I'm going to be 23! But I know for certain that 23 is going to be an awesome year! I mean I'll be getting engaged, graduating, and hopefully getting married all during this year! Craziness!! :) But I love it and can't wait for anything else!
Kenneth and I went to get new phones on Saturday. I am trying to get my number back, but as of right now AT&T is going through something that is a billing problem, so they can't port my number. So I have a temp number. I love this phone. It so awesome, and there are so many different functions on it, I'm sure I can't learn them all. Its also awesome because Kenneth and I are the same plan, and we can actually call one another without worrying about minutes. See my old plan, was from 2003 and didn't know what mobile-to-mobile was.
Now about those BBQ Meatballs. They were awesome. I would like to make them actually using a skillet and having more than one cookie pan, but that is for certain a recipe that I am going to try again.
I watched Marley and Me this weekend. I do not advice watching this movie if you have recently had a pet die, or if you had ever had to watch them give the animal a lethal injection. Lots of tears, lots of sadness, but good movie :(
Now enjoy this survey! While I work on these two papers!

The Climb - Miley Cyrus
I am in love with this song. I don't know why. I just love it. It describes my life. I'm not going to give up. Just because something knocks me down, something else can bring me back up :)
I can almost see it.
That dream I'm dreaming, but
There's a voice inside my head saying
You'll never reach it
Every step I'm takin'
Every move I make
Feels lost with no direction,
My faith is shakin'
But I gotta keep tryin'
Gotta keep my head held high
There's always gonna be another mountain
I'm always gonna wanna make it move
Always gonna be an uphill battle
Sometimes I'm gonna have to lose
Ain't about how fast I get there
Ain't about what's waitin' on the other side
It's the climb
The struggles I'm facing
The chances I'm taking
Sometimes might knock me down, but
No I'm not breaking
I may not know it, but
These are the moments that
I'm gonna remember most
I've just gotta keep goin', and
I gotta be strong
Just keep pushing on, but
There's always gonna be another mountain
I'm always gonna wanna make it move
Always gonna be an uphill battle
Sometimes I'm gonna have to lose
Ain't about how fast I get there
Ain't about what's waitin' on the other side
It's the climb

Sometimes I'm gonna have to lose
Ain't about how fast I get there
Ain't about what's waitin' on the other side
It's the climb
Keep on movin'
Keep climbin'
Keep faith baby
It's all about, it's all about
The climb
Keep the faith, keep your faith, woah
I can almost see it.

Gotta love it
This is probably my favorite video. It is truly amazing what can happen. Words can't describe it. Make sure your sound is up.
Anyway, onto happy news. I will be getting a Verizon phone.. this one!! I am so excited! Kenneth and I are going to pick them out on Saturday when he comes up to visit. We are getting off our parents plan, and having to fend for ourselves. That's one thing I love about him, he's just like me, in the fact that he is so dependent, and wants to be able to support himself! Just like me :).
School is still crazy. I have lots of stuff due this week, but I don't feel like working on any of it. I think I need another spring break. That or just a week to where I can collect my thoughts. I took a personal day yesterday. I had every intention of going to class. Got up, showered.. picked out my clothes. Laid on my bed, wanted to take a 5 minute nap.. and the next thing I knew it was 11:00! Whoops. Oh well. It was much needed evidently. So I spent the rest of the day working on my 8 page paper due Thursday that I only have 4 pages on.. :). Guess I'd better go and get started on that.

School is Crazy
So.. Monday: It was a great day.
I got a call from Carter County Health Department and he told me that he wanted me to come for an interview. I had called them about doing my internship there for the fall semester. I was so excited. I also registered for classes that day. Everything went fine.
Tuesday: 4311 broke loose :)
I got an email stating that the one class that I have left.. my minor class, has been changed from a Monday night class, to a Monday/Wednesday class during the day, from 1:30 to 3:00. Now normally this wouldn't be a problem. But since I want to graduate in December, I am trying to cram things into a short amount of time. I start freaking out. I can't have a day class, while I'm interning working 40 hours a week! It just can't happen. So once I end up cooling down. I sent my advisor an e-mail, telling her my problem. She was very kind, and she finally understood my situation. I also had a test about an hour after I found this information out. Haha. And my head is in a fog due to whatever in the world I am fighting right now.
Wednesday: started to see a positive side
I went to my advisor and talked with her. I managed to get talk her into substituting Patho for Diet and Disease (we are still working on the paper work). I also managed to call the person I needed to contact in the Boro health department and she was kind enough to call me back. She sent me an email with an application, and I sent that application back pretty fast. Now all is what I am waiting on is a phone call/ or email back from her to hopefully set up an interview.
Now, don't get me wrong. I was freaking out. I was upset. I was scared. But I realized that this has potential. Because of this time change, I have to get this class substituted, cuz I can't take a day class with my internship. Because of this time change, I am only taking one class in the fall. Because of this time change, I don't have to pay for housing next semester. Because of this time change, I can actually live in the same city as my boyfriend!! :)
As soon as I get my substitution form completed and an internship lined up back home, I am going to end up canceling housing for this next fall. Do you know what this means?!?!
I'll give you a hint.. I AM COMING BACK TO THE BORO!!
Kenneth is so thrilled. We were thinking that long distance would have to last through December, when I graduated. But now it's looking like it could be as early as Aug. 14.
I am so happy right now. In a few days, I'll be getting a new blackberry. My birthday is coming up. I am so close to finishing taking 19 hours (which I will never do again). I will be getting the news on if I got the RA/Camp Assistant job over the summer. There are so many weddings. I'll be 3 classes short of being 'done' with actual class work! I'll be getting engaged!!!! We'll be looking at places to live and also a place to host the wedding. Kenneth will start earning income. I will be able to start working. And most importantly, my graduation isn't falling near his sister's or my sister's graduation. Both of whom are graduating in May of '10. Who wouldn't be happy?
So thats been my week. I'm going to work on my paper. Which hasn't been started. Which is supposed to have 10 pages. Which I'm not sure what its going to be on :)

You know...
sometimes you really just have to love school. *sarcasm*
But there might be an upside to this. Even though it freaked me out when it first happened. More details after I meet with my advisor :).

Wedding #1!!
So, Kenneth and I attended our first wedding on Saturday. The only reason I say it this way is because come the end of the summer, there will have been a grand total of five weddings that I have attended, and four of which will be with him :). So the pictures are up. We had an awesome time. We were able to have our "first dance". Visit with my sister for a little bit. And of course, love using my GPS unit that my parents got me for Christmas. That will really come in handy for the Alabama wedding that are attending later in June!
It was a great weekend. We spent lots of time together, and I also got to see 'my girls'. I will be watching the little one probably the whole month of May from when finals let out. So expect to see me toting around a little 22 month old! I can't believe she's getting that old. I can't believe they are leaving in less than 2 months. But thats okay, I will more than likely see them again.
Kenneth and I on Friday night went to see the movie 12 Rounds. If you haven't seen it, I suggest seeing it. It is a really good movie, and worth seeing. Just be prepared for a semi uncreative ending. He took me to see He's Just Not That Into You when I was home for SB, so I figured it was time for an action flick this time :)
I was supposed to have my RA interview for this summer tomorrow, but they called and canceled so that means I have all day tomorrow to work on homework. I register for classes tomorrow also. And still have to get my overload form into the registers office. Kenneth starts his job tomorrow, which means he can finally stop sinking into debt!! I have a potential lead for an internship possibility. And I'm praying that I can get this. My teacher shot me down for the whole on-line, substitution, just let me do anything, but take this class option. So I have been forced to find an internship here.. which is surprisingly not turning out hard. Just keep my fingers crossed for tomorrow!! I really, really, really want it at this place :)
So yea, that's what has happened this weekend. I will be back in the boro come Thursday evening. Yay for CPR students being out of school on Spring Break! And for now I'm going to go and study. :) It is almost over! No more 19 hours ever again. Just have to deal with 9 for this one month in the summer.. :). Peace out peeps!

So...
I wanted to my internship back at home. But no.. I have one class left. A class that meets on campus! No on-lines, no nothings, only offered once a year! So I was looking at the catalog last night and saw that I might be able to substitute Diet and Disease for Pathophys.. which I took with nursing school.. and it going to the waste side. So I e-mailed her.. she in turn shot me down. I'm tired of being here. I'm tired of not being able to find an internship here. I'm tired of people not returning my phone calls. One class!! If I would have known this last fall.. when I was signing up for classes, I would have taken that class, and waited on Environmental, which is being offered this summer.. on-line! GURR! Why do they just do the schedules a few weeks before you have to register. I mean seriously. Lets help out the little people, like me. And back to her not letting me substitute that evil class. Its not like I am going to be lacking any credit hours. I have more than enough to graduate. So just let me already!!!
I am trying to do this for so many reasons. A) Becky is graduating in May of '10. B) Kenneth's sister is graduating May of '10.. we are actually on the same schedule. This in turn would cause Kenneth to pick to attend my graduation or his sisters. And I'm not putting him in that situation. And another reason is that Kenneth and I are trying to get married sometime in the early parts of 2010. For a few other reasons that I'm not going to put on here. Lets just say I want to get married in June, but his sister is getting married in July and getting married in June would be 'to close' to hers. So thats not happening. And then the final reason is that I just want out of school. I want to be able to go to bed before midnight. I want to be able to enjoy a day off, without thinking about what I have due the following week. I want to be in the same flipping city as my boyfriend!! Seriously. How hard is that?
So onto happy news. Wellapalooza is this next week! Along with registering for classes. My RA interview for the summer. And lots of other school work. I'm working on one presentation, due on Wednesday, and I'm hoping to get the paper typed up in the same class, so I can pretty much just scratch off that class. Cuz I will have completed all the assignments. I have a paper due in my evil class, which I really need to start on. But nothing is coming to me. I will be home tomorrow. Then leaving on Saturday morning for the wedding. And coming back here on Sunday night. If I didn't have so much to do on Monday, I would totally skip. Then I will be back again next Thursday. Did you know they are talking snow showers on Tuesday.. snow showers!!! I guess it is the time when they normally do call for snow showers. It always seems about the 2nd week of April we have a crazy snow storm, then the weather clears up, and its all pretty.
Mkay. I'm getting off here, and finishing up my presentation, so I can print that off, and go over that in the car on Saturday along with my Community Health stuff.
