Alright, I have tried to stay out of this! And I know you all might agree or disagree with some things about to be said but hear me out.
America is like trillions of dollars in debt. And yet we are planning on taking money out of MEDICAID to pay for people who already do NOTHING for society? Medicaid is for people who are low income whereas medicare is for the elderly.
Lets try teaching America how to eat properly, so we can AVOID getting sick and going to the hospital! Start hiring some health educators! Start hiring some nutritionists and get out in the communities and start EDUCATING people on what is killing them! Just a thought.. but that's probably too simple for anyone to come up with.
And fyi.. there are 40 million uninsured American.. not 32..

i agree with educating people on eating right.
when i was in the bronx, we used to provide healthy snacks for the kids. one mom actually yelled at her daughter for eating so many grapes and carrots that she couldn't eat her dinner, which was a greasy slice of cheese pizza. the mom wasn't stupid, she just didn't know.
Some people can't avoid getting sick even if they do eat properly, I do agree with you. There are private sectors that want to help people, and I think more organizations like that are the answer, not something government-sponsored. There is a nasty trend of government-sponsored things not going well at all... both in America and around the world.
Garrett's dad was saying it's going to take like 2-3 years of taxes for the healthcare plan to even be able to go into effect. My guess is that it'll be repealed before then.
