so.. ready.. for.. vacation!

I still have my progress report I have to write, working a 4 hour shift at Kroger, 15 more hours with my internship (including spending all day tomorrow at MTSU), and to pack. I'm sure there are other things, but my brain is fried.

Night folks!

I have been busy. It has been great only having 5 hours at work this week. Very relaxing. I have kept myself very busy with my internship though. But this Monday marks fall break. I shall be sleeping in and then coming in for the fun stuff. Like Kids in the Kitchen, where we are making all sort of Pumpkin goodness and going to BAM night at Cason. My professor comes in on Friday. I need to get things organized for that, and might spend Tuesday working on that.

Kenneth has started his new schedule as of now. He now works till 7:30 and has off Sunday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. So that shall be nice seeing him before I crash.

I ordered the save the dates tonight! And I managed to save 45 dollars! Here is what they look like. Welp maybe its uber blurry, so thats good that you can't make out specifics :) I am so excited to get them in. But they won't come back till after we get back from Disney.

I have also gotten the invitation suites as well. I got these for 20 dollars off. Not bad if I say so. Of course I still haven't tried to print on them, so we shall see how that part of the process goes. They look like this.

Oh yea, I don't think I have mentioned this. We are going to Disney World at the end of this month and staying 5 days. Along with the best man at the wedding and his girl. I am still trying to figure out what parks to see. So what do you think. We know that we will be at Magical Kingdom on Oct. 31st so we can see the Halloween parade. The entire reason we are going. He wants to see the Parade, and I can finally get off from school, so I am jumping at the chance.

Anyway, that's a brief run-down on things. I need to pick up a new hobby or something. Oh quick note.. I graduate in 2 months and 2 days.. EEK! :)

Quick un

Welp, its gonna be a crazy month. Considering it is already Oct 13 and I don't know where the first half of the month went. I am going to keep this short, cuz I have to get ready for my internship and make sure everything is ready for Kroger tonight.

We got our engagement pictures done Sunday. The weather turned out amazing! And so did the pictures. View them here: www.photographybynola.instaproofs.com Let me know which ones I should use for save the dates. There is one of us on the ground looking up that I really like. Kenneth likes one where we are in the gazeboo and he has is arms around me (and I am barefoot :) hehe), and then there is another where there is a branch and we are looking at each other with clear blue sky in the background. What are your views?

Oh and my future husband turns 24 in two days!! EEK!! And we leave for disney in 15 days! YAY! More later, when I'm not so pushed for time :)

Randomness..

As I am sitting around in Kenneth's room, wondering where to start cleaning, it occurs to me that I haven't updated this in a while.

My internship is going well. I can't believe I am already so far into it. I believe I have half of the hours down or something along those lines. I am enjoying myself. Learning lots of things.. and that just triggered a thought that I really, really have to work on the mid-progress reports that are due on Tuesday.. I might work on that tomorrow while my dude is out of the office. Anyway, keeping very busy with that.

I just found out a few days ago that a mother of a friend that I hung out with while I was going through my Jake phase has passed away from a stroke :( So I went to the visitation for her today. It didn't look like her. And that leads me to wonder why don't they make people in caskets smile? I mean could it really be that hard to do, or would it just be plain creepy? Anyway, its good that I was able to see her. She always made such the best meals. It is a shame.

Working at Kroger is keeping me busy. I am getting about 20 hours a week there, so between that, my internship, and helping out in nursery on Wednesdays, my life is rather full ;). I have started working in Drug GM, basically stocking make-up, shampoo, baby things, seasonal items.. those sort of things, and I am finding I actually like it. Plus it is a different change of pace from dealing with the customers.

Kenneth and I going to have our engagement pictures done on Sunday. I am getting very excited about it. We are having the photographer who is doing our wedding photos come in from Knox and take a few at the Avenue and then also at Oakland's Mansion. I am happy about finally getting these done, so I can send out for the Save the Dates. Which I am projecting to be sent out sometime in early December. I would like to give people time to know what dates to request off for and also to let them know for vacation time planning.

Other than that I think I am going to get back to balancing my checkbook, and randomness like that :) I have been trying to catch up on y'all blogs, I just haven' had any time to comment. I feel so bad! I really like reading them all.

...So we really aren't eloping.. as much as i want to sometimes! I am excited! We finally got everything straightened out with engagement pictures, which will be happening on the 11 of this month. On Friday, it will officially be a year till we walk down the aisle and we say 'I Do' to the one we want to spend forever with. To celebrate he is taking me on a picnic and then who knows.. maybe to see a new movie that is a chick-flick that is out :) We shall see.

The 1st is in a few short days, which means that this month is over, and one of the craziest is about to happen. But it will probably be the one in which I get the most accomplished as far as school goes. I have over half my hours that I need for my internship, and I will probably stay there through Dec 4. Even though I am finishing all my hours around the middle of November. I think it is good that I stay on and help a little. Especially in the current situation. She told me something today. Most of the time she has MTSU students, but she told me that its nice having me, because when she tells me to do something I do it, and get it done. I am not constantly asking her how to do something or taking time from her day. That made me happy.

I got a lot of things accomplished today. I have the template for the PowerPoint done for the baby fair. It looks pretty awesome if I say so myself. I also got a lesson plan typed up, which I will be using on Thursday. And then there were a few other things that I got accomplished. Including a progress report which is due tomorrow that has to be submitted tonight, because I won't have any time tomorrow to complete and send it in. Tomorrow I get to wear work out pants and do an exercise class, so that should be interesting.

Anyway, just a quick update before this week goes crazy! Internship from 8 to 4:30 then work from 5:30 to 11. Wed is internship from 8 to 4:30 and then nursery from 6 to 7:45. Thursday is internship from 7:30 to 4:00 and then work from 5:30 to 11. Friday is setting up for baby shower from 8 to 2:30ish. Saturday is the baby fair from 8 to 3:30. Anyone wanna trade lives? :)

Routines

I am so tired. Life has seem to fly by. I don't even know where September has gone. And I can't believe that October is knocking at the door. I am 3 weeks into my internship had have 112 hours thus far. I have to get to 400, which I am honestly not worried about. I am taking 2 days off for fall break in about 3 weeks, then a week and half later I am taking 3 days off and going to Disney World with Kenneth and his roommates. It shall be a fun time. Kenneth wants to see the Halloween Parade, so I figured I could come along.

Along with that, I have the Baby Fair at work. This is going to take an entire Friday to set up, and then that Saturday to work it. Needless to say, our date night that night will probably be cut short. Which is sad since it is the same day that marks us at 1 year till the wedding. I wanted to do something special that night. We then have Kenneths birthday, another fair/event with my internship, then fall break, and hopefully dress shopping and visiting the girls. We shall see if that works out. Hopefully that following weekend we can finally have our engagement pictures done. So I can send out Save the Dates! Then Disney World and Halloween. And October is done! Haha. I thought my life would slow down when I came back home. November is going to be crazy too, but I won't be requesting off so much at my other job, which will be good. And the good news is that I have lots of vacation time that I have accumulated, so I can go to Disney and still get paid for working!! :)

I went to a bridal fair on Sunday. I think I figured out that I am having my dress custom made.. I think. She includes all the alterations, and can make it how I want it. So I am excited to see what she can do. And I figure its only an extra 100 more than buying a dress off the rack.. so why not.
Also, I am set on Julia's Bakery for the cake! No doubt in my mind. It is reasonably priced and they have great cakes.
Other than that I think I am done planning stuff till about Jan.
Flowers I can figure out later.
But I am still trying to decide if we need a videographer.. what is your option?

Life believe it or not is in a routine, which I like. I do like the 8 to 5. Not such as fan of the 5:30 to 10 after my 8 to 5, but I have to make some money. And I did Drug GM the other day, and I honestly liked that. I was stocking things, and wasn't bothered by the customers, which was a nice change of pace. Working in Cust Service, I always have to please the customer, and put on my best smile, even if they are out of line. Stocking, I am able to relax, which is good after a long shift. I know I keep saying the same thing over, but its all good. I'm outta here. Gotta research a few more topics, then heading over to Kenneths.
