Everyday is a new adventure :)

So. Lets see whats new in my life :) I went and talked with people about scholarships, confused her a little bit, but she told me that I can have the lottery for one more semester :D yay, thats a huge burden lifted. My new major requires 126 credits and i only have a 125.. only.

Carrie Underwood at playing at ETSU today. Its going to be a crazy show. I'm excited about it though. Its been about 2 years since I last heard her play. And that was at UTC for Christi's birthday that we suprised her with.

I turn 22 a month from yesterday. I just find that so hard to believe. It really seems like just yesterday I was turning 21. Of course it seems like just yesterday for a lot of things. I won't be on here that much for the next few weeks, its going to start getting really busy and I need to keep up my good grades without majorly blowing them out. Oh, and i'm pretty certain that spring fever has hit, and there is no motivation whatsoever to do any school work.. not good.

Anyway, I've got class in an hour, and I've got to finish getting ready, eat lunch, do laundry and dishes, and then who knows what.. probably work on some papers, biostats, accounting, or healthcare admin.. I think I procrastinated too long.. whoops. Everyone have a great day :)

Wow, I'm getting in a routine on here :)

Anyway, so many things are new! Lets see. First we went to talk to housing about living in the apartment next year, and we got it! I'm so excited. I just can't wait to see what it looks like. I've been living in Stone since I transfered here, and its going to be wierd not living in this dorm anymore since it has been home for three semesters, but I guess Carter can be home for 3 semesters too :). Plus I get my own room and kitchen! I think thats what I'm most excited about.

Next, I went and talked with my advisor today. Got things straightened out, still have no clue what time I'm registering but guessing its either on the 7th or 8th.. even though he said the third. And declared my actual major today! That will be interesting to see on a diploma! :) If I ever make it there?!?! I'm taking 19 hours, but really my class load isn't that bad. Got one MWF. A Monday night class, a Tuesday night class, and 3 TR, that start at 9:45. So I'm actually looking forward to it. My classes seem like they will be lots of fun, and interesting! That moves me onto something else.

I went and talked with a marketing advisor today also. Turns out to get a minor in something you have to have more than half your credits accumulated at the school you graduate from. So me coming back in Fall '09 is now a distant memory, cuz there is no way that I can get 6 more credit hours from this school for my minor in two semesters. I will already have two (accounting and health care marketing). Since I'm already taking the max load possible and theres no way I can squeeze two classes into the next two semesters here. :( So that really stinks! Gurr. That made me really mad. I really am wishing I could have taken another class this semester.

It snowed yesterday! Like actual snow was falling from the sky. It accumulated on my car, and it was loads of fun driving around town while it was snowing. Haha. And now today it got up to near 60 and I was running around in flip-flops. You really have to love TN weather. Its so biopolar, its not even funny. Anyway, I've been working on Accounting since I have a test in there on April Fools day and also health care admin. Good news is Biostats is not on that day. Which means I don't have three tests back-to-back-to-back! Yay. Anyway, I'm going to get back to studying. Hope y'all have a wonderful night, and another update soon :) Love to all :D

So it is official...

I will be commiting suicide the next three semesters by taking 19 hours next fall, and 18 the following spring and fall. :) That means that I am staying at ETSU! We found our third roommate!!! Its going to be Jill. So me, Christina (my current roommate), and Jill (one of our many friends) are all going to living in the basement of Carter. Having our own bathroom, kitchen, and bedrooms, and a living room that is going to be a tropical theme!!!! In a newly renovated dorm for 1,600 per semester. This means I don't have to have a mean plan and all my classes are right next door :). I will have to take two summer school classes, and they are going to be Prin. of Marketing this summer, and Intro to Epi, next summer. As for next semesters classes, I think I have them figured out, but then I change. Good thing I'm talking to my advisor on Tuesday!

So you might ask what I'm doing. What in the world am I getting a major in. Well, ready for this.. its long: Major: Public Health, Double Concentration in Health Care Adminstation and Community Health, and a Minor in Marketing. I love this program. Even more than I do nursing. Its amazing what happens, when one door closes, what other possiblities open up. This will allow me to be a manager, get into sales, be an educator and teach, do marketing campaigns, and who knows what else. I think in the long run, me staying at ETSU will be better.

I'm not sure what my summer plans are right now. I might just not work. Lol. Haha. Like thats going to happen. So if anyone hears about a job, and want's to let me know about it, that would be fabulous :) Anyway, this update if for you ANNA! :) I'm going to bed.. cuz I have to be up early tomorrow, like 545 am.. and I've got to drive back to campus tomorrow. Yay, four hours in car.. how boring! See y'all in just a few weeks. I will be around all summer and probably not babysitting! :(

Have a Happy Easter. :) Its not just another holiday.

Like I said it changes daily :)

Anyway. So I've been praying over and over about saying that it would really be ideal if I could move up to Buc Ridge, and that would really be the place I wanted to live. Well last night, Christina and I were talking, and she mentioned that there are apartments open in Carter. I was like.. mkay. She's like they are exactly like Buc Ridge. We would have our own kitchen, my own bedroom, a common living room, and we all three would have to share the handicap bathroom. Now, the only problem. There are two of us.. and we need three people, and everyone has already made plans for housing.

So now, if we can find the 3rd roommate, there is no doubt in my mind that I will be staying at ETSU. I will be there for just 2 more semesters and then I will come back home. Take 18 hours at Middle (2 marketing, 2 econs, a psy, and my medical term) and then transfer back to ETSU for my last semester and do my internship in Nashville/M'boro. I will be able to then get a double concentration, and a minor. And still get out in 2 years. Either school was going to be two more years. So whats what I'm thinking... Now onto the next problem. A job.. funds are running low :)

Hindsight is always 20/20

So anyway, I've been thinking. I'm almost 22 years old. I am going to have 125 credit hours at the end of this semester, and I really don't have any chance of getting out of school, any time soon. So that got me thinking. What I should have done. I should have taken classes that started towards a minor. I should have thought about what might happen if I didn't get into nursing. And I should also know that hindsight is 20/20.

So this got me thinking more. I'm coming home. I will be with my amazing friends.. even if half of them are getting engaged/ married/ graduating. I will be able to be with my family, and see my sisters all the time. I will be able to babysit (my passion). I will be able to take less hours. Which will put less stress on me. I did get out of the most stressful major of them all I believe. I can also keep this job that I'm hopefully going to have this summer. In the end, the pros of coming back to where home was, just out-weighed anything. :)

Things are going to start being different. I've changed from who I was even a month ago.. and I'm hopefully going to keep on changing. I'm excited. Now maybe by the time I'm 23, a semester before I graduate, and the semester I'm doing my internship, I will hopefully have enough money saved up to buy a house. A pretty house. And I guess I will just wait and see where the rest of that leads. I'm happy. And its been a long time coming. Know that I love y'all. More than anything.

The Day To Wear Green

So thats what I think of St. Patricks Day. Lol. I guess I should start on why I felt like getting another blog, and then go into some detail on what I did this weekend. Which was amazing by the way. Anyway, I got this blog because this weekend the speaker was talking about how we should go and check out KissesFromKatie on Blogspot, and I was like.. okay when I get back to where I have a computer I will go and check it out. Anyway, Katie is a college student and has been doing oversees mission work in Africa, I think, and I just was like.. you know, I think, I'm going to check this out, and sure enough, this looks like a cool site, so I decided to add it. Lol. Trust me, its not going to take over facebook, that is still my addiction, but this is where I will be venting, and expressing what I'm feeling on certain days :)

Anyway, this weekend was amazing. I went to Newport, TN, and got to help out with Youth Explosion. M'boro peeps its kinda like One Weekend. Except it only goes on Friday and Saturday nights from 6-9. Pretty short. But during that time there are skits, worship music, a lesson, and then also a band that played. Dwell N You played on Friday night and was who we hung out with mostly during the weekend. This is Luke played on Saturday night. You guys should get on myspace music and check them both out!

So anyway, I've been having a really hard time deciding where I should go next. If I should stay at ETSU or transfer back home. So the past 2 sermons that I've heard while I've been praying about what I should do, are all based on making decisions. And I'm like, Lord I understand that I have to make a decision, but I'm not sure which one. So thats pretty cool that even when I'm in a strange place, He still is able to make an impact. This weekend was a bunch of fun, but its good to get back into the swing of things and get back to school. I'm ready for it to end. Lol. But I'm not cuz that means that I'm one more day closer to making a decision that really does affect the rest of my life.

I know that I've decided that I want to do public health. More specifically health education where I can teach people why they should have healthy habits. I don't think you people at home knew what I was focusing in. Anyway, if I stay at East, then I would do Health care adminstration and also health education because I would only be lacking two classes to get a double concentration. I would also get a minor in marketing. Now don't get me wrong, I love it here, but I've made so many mistakes since I've moved up here, and I really did come up here for nursing school. And now since that is not an option anymore, then, why really should I stay here? Minus the fact that they have the better program here.
At Middle. I would be doing community and public health education, with a minor in nutrition. This would put me back home with the kids I babysit for, and also if I become a PCT this summer, that will allow me to still be able to work PRN (as needed) with them, so I can earn extra money along with babysitting. So I can maybe move out by the time I'm 24. :) Still have 2 more years. But I don't know. I love it both places. Anyway, I'm going to get off of here, and finish reading a paper that I think I'm going to write, and then going to a St. Patricks Day Party.

If you are on here, let me know, I'm just adding a spot on the right side of people that I read, since I don't know how to much of anything on this site :)

Welcome

This is my first blog. Its been a long time since I've blogged on something like this. I mean I deleted my xanga maybe 5 years ago. Lol. So anyway, this is me. Like it or leave it. More to come.
