The advantages..

of not having a job.. and only being a part time student. Well kinda not having a job. I do work part-time, but that allows for the flexibility to do these sort of things.. and why I'm kinda not in a hurry to find anything substantial right now. Even though Kenneth wants me to find something that pays more than 8 an hour.

So anyway. I'm happy cuz I get a spring break with the single class I am taking and daddy found an awesome deal on a cruise.. so my sisters, daddy, and two of Christi's friends are coming with us! He found a deal that I could afford for a 7 day cruise to the Carribean. It will kinda be like the one we took last year, visiting the Grand Turks and Half Moon Cay, but this will also include San Juan and St. Thomas, which I haven't been to in well over 6 or 7 years! I'm kinda excited. I wanted Kenneth to go, but he with as many things as we have going on this year, its hard for him to be requesting off.

About wedding stuff: I was googling brown dresses and came across this one.

I could very easily find an orange sash to put around the waist, and go from there. I think I'm going to order this one, and see how it looks, and then also order this one and wear it for the rehearsal dinner stuff.

It has some yellow in it, which will pull out the colors, and its really cute! So yay!

Also I found these for the boys. I keep trying to find an idea on what I want it to look like, but I am having no such luck! :( I just want simple chocolate brown pants, a white shirt, and then this tie. Thinking about a vest, but I'm not so sure. But I can't find something that matches this description.

Oh well, I need to get back to a little more of A&P before Kenneth comes and picks me up and we have date night: pizza from Papa Murphys and a rental for a grand total of less than 10 bucks! I love our date nights!

I am all about some deals!

So while Anna and were hanging out today and scouring the racks for baby clothes, I found this:

That's right, that is silverware. This silverware was 65 percent off though. Making this 8 piece set plus hostess set, originally 80 dollars.. and I got it for 27 dollars! The 4 piece set was originally 40 dollars and I got it for 13 and some change. Making a 12 piece silverware set and a hostess set for 45 dollars. I saved $80, which is even more awesome! I love that because you can't even find a 4 piece setting for that price!!

So that is my awesome deal of the week. Granted it isn't Oneida or some brand like that, like I was hoping on getting, but I figured a deal like that I can live with it. And the reviews online say that its good stuff also. So yea.

We met with another florist yesterday. I really like her, and I'm very interested in what her quote is going to be. Alrighty, that's all thats going on in my life. Off to study a little anat and phys and then crash :) Night world.

Almost a steal!

So I have been eying these place settings for the longest time. These are the sets that I am going to use in our place. They come in awesome colors and I was thinking about doing raspberry and graphite, but since I got the green mixer, I'm now doing green and graphite. And then with the marble table we are going to get, I think it will look really sharp! So anyway, Kenneth and I went into Bed Bath and Beyond yesterday while we were killing time, and I wanted to look at some towels that I fell in love with, but realized they were on clearance, so I was going to get some. And I stumbled across this.

This is the dishware set I am using in our kitchen. Best part. This originally sells for 34.99.. or even higher. I've seen them priced as high as $70.00 per set. Best part. This set was 4 dollars! Granted it was missing a salad plate, but I figured it was a great deal and I can never have enough extras on plates. I was so excited! And they had 2 of them for that price! Add the 20 percent off coupon I always carry with me for that store, it made it a steal!! I'm going to Franklin tomorrow to see if they have anymore!

On a side note, we have decided on the two bedroom. It might not be cost effective, but to save our sanity during the first 2 years of marriage it's a must! :) So we are off to look at a few more 2 bedrooms in the boro, so we can know for sure, and then we will just hope that we win the lottery or something.

Oh and I have registered for my class. Its on Fridays from 9 am to 3 pm. One day a week driving to McMinville, and the class ends on April 30. Not too bad a deal I don't think. Also I'm trying to decide if I want to go on another cruise for Spring Break. It would be 400 dollars.. daddy found a deal.. and I'm trying to figure it out. Last year was so much fun! I think I might just go with it. Its only 3 weeks pay at Kroger.. :)

Alrighty, off to eat lunch with the fiance, then who knows what. Nursery tonight with the two year olds! They are a great bunch!

Hmmm.

So, my hold finally got off of my account, only to have another hold. The fact that they just got my transcript today, and my English hasn't been included into all the classes I have taken. I was able to call someone and they allowed me to register. I was able to get into an online class and have been stalking the website in search of an on campus class. I would love to go only on Fridays or even a Tuesday Thursday on Smyrna's Campus would be easy for me. So that's been the story. Classes start next Thursday and my tuition has been paid :) So I'm moving ahead. Now to finish writing those three graduation cards for gifts I have received and everything will be good. I will know something about nursing school come April.

I think we are now looking a lot at Cason Estates and Aldridge. We are more than likely going to get a one bedroom. We don't do much entertaining, and it will only be a few times when guests come over. At Cason there is the sitting room in the master, which I could put a desk in there. And I like how we can get an attached garage for not a lot each month, and I like how its only like 600 to rent for 850 sq feet. Not bad, I don't think. Then Aldridge is about 750 a month for 1240 sq feet. That does offer the best deal, but its an extra 150 a month that we don't really need to be spending.

When did things get so confusing. Onto happier news.. I am loving the fact that I am soon going to be decorating :)

apartment hunt..

Oh my goodness! Do you guys know how many amazing apartments are in Murfreesboro? Like alot! And having that many does not help matters of trying to choose a place to live. We have visited 4 and have loved 3. So here is a run down.. tell me what you think.

Summit - out! Seriously we walk up there and they basically hand us a key and say its that way, gave us the number and expected us to find it ourselves. No thanks! Plus the rooms are way small for what they are asking. I liked the kitchen though.

Stoneridge Farms @ Hillwood - the three bedroom is amazing, but a little out of budget. So we will probably end up going with a two bedroom deluxe. I love that the laundry room is a separate room. I love that the third floor has vaulted ceilings. The kitchen is nice, cuz it looks out onto the living room. The master closet is HUGE! And the guest bedroom is on the other side of the apartment. Plus there is a big garden tub. Its a gated community and it even has a tanning booth, in the lobby. And all the water that you can use is set for certain fee. The only downfall. The dryer has a really small opening and the cable is through direct tv not Comcast.

Aldridge at the Gateway - We are thinking about the Jackson or the Madison for this one. They are beautiful and I love how you come into the entry way and you walk up stairs. They are very affordable. Washer and dryer in the unit. The master bathroom is a little small, but thats okay, cuz the closet is decent size. We haven't seen the Madison yet, but I like that it has the loft up stairs, so that way we can use it for an office. I also like how this one looks out onto the living room and its less space that we would have to fill up with our zero furniture that we have :) The only downfall I think is the amount of counter space in the kitchen. Its rather small and it would only allow one person in the kitchen at a time.

And finally, Cason Estates - we really like the Pembury because it is upstairs and its sorta like Aldridge in the fact that the stairs are right off the entry makes it feel homey. Kenneth loves that the master has a balcony. I'm not really a fan of how boxed in it makes me feel. I do like that there is a desk that we can use as an office space, so we don't have to use the guest bedroom, but at the same time, we sacrifice the laundry room. Its just a panel of doors. I also like how there is an attached garage with this unit. This is at the top of our budget, and if any of us get another job, then we should be able to afford it. We also could get a one bedroom for 300 less a month. If thats the case we are looking at the Dustin.

Who would have thought that looking for a house/apartment would end up with so many good leads? We are honestly torn on what we want, and what sounds good. They all have great things, that we like.

Oh, and totally off subject. I'm getting so pissed at Motlow, its not letting me register for classes, cuz they don't have my final transcripts. And the worst part is the class that I need to take, is one of the popular classes, go figure, and it fills up rather fast. Oh well, I will just keep calling them and making them take my hold off. I mean I have graduated. Can't you just let me register, and worry about my transcript later. It will get there I promise. Just let me register! :(

Adventures of a crazy week.. monday update!

So, TSO was last night. I'm not going to lie, I was worried. I heard the word orchestra and I don't like that style music. But there were words to the songs and there was a cool little story that went along with it. It was much better than I could have imagined. He did a good with this graduation gift :)

I went wedding dress shopping today. I tried on close to 20 to 25 of them. Lots of them made me gag, where some I could see myself actually wearing. I narrowed it down to 3. 1 of them being the one I saw last November and fell in love with. But the bad news was that they had raised the price of it up 200 dollars and the only size they had was a 10, so I couldn't get a good picture of how it looked. I would love to post pics but, A) I didn't have my camera, and B) Kenneth reads this, and we have promised to make this a surprise. So we left there, and headed to lunch. We also had to get a part for the upstairs furnace since it isn't working properly.

So I figured that while we were on that side of town to try out this one place. Walked in and they were so helpful! Find 3 dresses that I like and ask for a dressing room. Put dress 1.. at this store.. on. Fits me like a glove, but I'm not so sure. Dress 2, doesn't even make it out of the dressing room. Dress 3. I open the curtain and I can tell my Beck's and Christi's expression that this one is different. I go to the front where the mirror is and I look at it. I start noticing details. The lady comes and helps me and we do some little fixes to it. She then asks what I'm doing with my hair and what I'm thinking as far as accessories go. I tell her, I'm thinking a tiara and that's probably it. She brings me two, and then a veil. I then turn around in the mirror.. and realize that this is the dress that I'm walking down the aisle with.. after a few alterations.. and it in my size and all. I tried on a 6 and that literally fell off of me! :) So I guess all is what is left is the alterations part. Aren't you getting excited about seeing it on the wedding day?!? :)

Off to looking at apartments/townhomes tomorrow and work!

Dance lessons and nursery starting up on Wednesday.

Its been a great start to a fabulous week! :)

One Decade Gone..

This is going to be the decade. Yes, I meant to say the decade. Just think. In another 10 years, I will be married! I will be 33.. that makes me feel old. I will be an established person, finally. By established, I mean, we feel comfortable, as money goes, as living goes, and things of the like. I will hopefully be the mother of two young children, and maybe one on the way. My husband will be a lawyer, and I will be working as a nurse educator.. or a stay at home mom. Its kinda crazy to think about things, and how so much has changed. I'm looking forward to this decade. Lots of things to look forward to! Yes, I'm a planner.

I am going to see Trans Siberian Orchestra on Sunday. Going dress shopping on Monday. Tuesday we are going to look at 3 potential homes that we will live in. And on Wednesday nursery starts back. I love the 2 year olds :)

I found the luggage for the honeymoon today.. for 29.99 for a 21 inch, and then that same amount for a 26 inch. Its in red and I love them! And I'm glad that Kenneth and I agree on them.

We also have the rehearsal dinner location. After looking at 3 places. And ruling out one of the places cuz it was about 30 minutes away, then add Nash traffic to that, and it makes it about a 45 minute drive. So I found a place that was about 7 miles away, 10 minutes, and they agreed to it! Now time to start with the menu! :)

Now I'm going to get to eating lunch and then going into work and closing! :) I hope everyone had a good New Years Eve, and a great new year!! :)
