So Snapfish is having an awesome deal on photo prints right now. 100 prints for 5 dollars!! 5 cents for them. So I'm in the process of working on getting on the honeymoon photos uploaded and saved so I can finally get them into an album or a scrapbook. Not sure which one I've decided to do.
Kenneth got his bonus yesterday. I got a semi good pay check, so with that, we were finally able to pay off the last of the wedding expenses!! YAY!!!! And book a spring break trip to Tampa. We are heading to Busch Gardens. I'm so excited!! I honestly can't believe that spring break is literally a month away!!
I also found a good deal for a round of golf, that Kenneth will be using to go play with his friends or with his dad. Hasn't really decided yet. Of course his dad has a broken ankle and won't be able to play for 6 weeks, so who knows. And now that the weather actually seems like its getting nice, I'm loving it!
I didn't get into Memphis. I passed the test, but my science grade was too low. So I will try again next Spring or Fall. Haven't decided fully. Fall allows me to get out in 16 months, but Spring allows me to start sooner. But for now that means we will be staying here through December at least.
Welp, I'm about to get ready and tackle this day. Cleaning, a little shopping, and some good old relaxation with my husband. I love Saturdays!

So it's almost Valentines day..
and I have had the past two days off! Which means getting lots of things done around the apartment. I took the TEAS for Memphis nursing school on Monday. I passed. So now I just have to stop and wait and see if my grades are good enough to get in. We also went looking at apartments in Memphis and I realized how hard it is going to be to leave this wonderful home that Kenneth and I have. I think we might start looking into renting if we move.
Onto some good news, Kenneth and I are celebrating Valentines Day tonight. So in preparation, I'm working on cooking him dinner. Here's the game plan:
BBQ chicken with bacon and swiss cheese on top
Green beans bundles (green beans wrapped in bacon, coated with Catalina dressing)
Sister Serbert rolls
Red velvet cake
and its not valentines day without chocolate covered strawberries! Aldi's has them for 1.99 and they smell AMAZING!
So I'm about to get back to cooking. What are you special plans for valentines day?

I may work at Kroger..
but I LOVE Publix's BOGO sales! Therefore I stock-pile shop at Publix. As I mentioned in a previous post, I have been trying to get better about couponing. So I thought I would share with you my latest Publix trip.
I am first going to list the items that I purchased:
- 2 : 12 pack cans of wild cherry pepsi (4.89 = BOGO: 2.45 each)
- 2 : gallons of Publix sweet tea (BEST STUFF EVER!!) (2.39 = BOGO: 1.20 each)
- Publix cream cheese (needed for dinner)
- 2 : Kraft cheeses (Cheddar and Mexican) (2 dollars each, and a 1 dollar off coupon)
- 2 : Oscar Mayer Beef hot dogs (4.39 = BOGO: 2.20 each and a 1 dollar off coupon)
- baby carrots
- 2 : publix sour cream (needed for dinner)
- ranch dip for carrots (3.49 = BOGO: 1.75, and a 50 cent off coupon that doubles making it 75 cents total)
- cheese-its (3.19 = BOGO: 1.60 each)
- Velveeta cheese (needed for super bowl party)
- 4 : Knorr Spanish Rice packages (1.27 = BOGO: 63 cents each, 2 coupons for 50 cents off which doubles, total for all four .54 cents or 14 cents EACH!)
- 2 : Lysol disinfecting wipes (75 wipes) (you can never have enough of those around my house) (4.99 = BOGO: 2.49 each, a 75 cent off manufacturer coupon combined with a 75 cent target coupon makes them 99 cents each!)
- 3 : dove deodorant (4.49, not on sale, but a 2 dollar off coupon in the news paper and 1 dollar off store coupon makes it 1.49 each)
- 2 : pace picante sauce (2.79 = BOGO: 1.40 each, 50 cent off coupon which doubles makes it 90 cents each)
- an onion (needed for dinner)
- 2 : barilla bowtie pasta (1.23 = BOGO: 61 cents each) (these are a dollar at Kroger normally)
- 2 : Kotex pads (4.79 each, not on sale, but had a 2.50 manufacturer coupon and also a 4 dollar store coupon making them 1.54 each!)
my total after everything, not including tax was $37.05!
I saved a total of 58.30. Of that 33.05 was Publix savings, 13.75 was vendor coupons, and 11.50 of that was store coupons!
Publix will let you stack a manufacturer and also a store coupon. Publix will also take target coupons that you print off line.
I just can't shop like that at Kroger and save that much!! Anyway here is a picture of all my goodies for this week. I try to limit myself to shopping at Publix once a week. I have gotten a pretty good base of stock piling built up, so I'm interested to see how things play out. Also Kenneth and I are checking this weekend to see if Memphis has a Publix. I told him I wasn't moving there if there wasn't one, because I'm getting awesome at saving so much money, I'm just needing a larger kitchen to store these in. Maybe we will look at rent to own homes in the upcoming months.

So I'm off to study for my nursing test I have this weekend. Everyone have a great weekend.. and enjoy the snow.. haha :(

As I'm thinking..
Lots of stuff has happened since the new year started.. almost half a month ago!!
We got a carp ton of snow! Like 6 inches! And its still kinda snowing. I also have been out of school for three days, and I'm doubting that I'll go back at all this week. Which is good and bad, I'm enjoying the time off, and working at Kroger, but we have reached out paid snow days, we only get two and we have 2 now we have to make up. So that shall be interesting.
Kenneth and I finally have car insurance together. We got a quote from State Farm (who I have) and Nationwide (who he has) and state farm quoted us so much cheaper, so we went with them. Well we got a letter in the mail from state farm that said they won't insure Kenneth. I'm like what the mess?!!? They had already taken our money and we were waiting on the cards for them. Did I mention that his insurance expires come the 14 of Jan?? Yea, so that caused me to be a little on edge the last few days. So we called up Nationwide and we decided on the best coverage for us and went with them. And we switched our renters insurance and got life insurance also! So thats a plus. And all of that is going to be costing us about equal what state farm was going to be charging us for Auto. Crazy people. I'm so tired of getting the run around!
I have also signed up to take the HESI and the TEAS. Feb and March are going to be crazy months with all the tests, but I think I have everything lined up for both schools I'm applying to. So I should find out if we are staying put or moving sometime in April. I have mixed emotions towards both. But it's exciting!
If you are a fan of Man vs Food on Food Network, then you might enjoy this next topic. On New Years Eve, we went to a place in Memphis with Kenneth family and we tackled a 4 pound burger, now this burger is CRAZY! The bun itself is a pound, so you are talking about something that is 5 pounds just right there. It was actually a decent tasting burger, and everyone was staring at us, even though there was 6 of us actually eating the whole thing.

And I think that wraps things up. Have a great night all! Stay warm!

Goals..
Taking this post from Powers, since it was a pretty cool idea.
Goals for 2011 & 2012: (25 & 26)
- go back to school for my nursing degree and actually graduate this time
- learn to manage my time better
- do a better job at couponing. In the past I've done very good. And I've started up again and managed to save 50 dollars at Kroger on this last shopping trip and only spent 70. And almost 20 dollars of the order was done in coupons, the other 30 was in Kroger savings.
- plan an awesome 1 year weekend getaway celebration. Thinking of going to the Biltmore and then going to see South Carolina play a football game.
- go to an amusement park with Kenneth.
- find a hobby that I love! Right now, I have free time, but I'm not spending it productively, so if I could find something that I like to do, it would be great.
Goals to reach by the time hubby gets done with law school (AKA age 29):
- travel to Europe and spend two weeks over there
- go back to Hawaii
- be a nurse working with babies.. still not sure the area yet
- have enough money saved up to were we can afford to buy a house
Goals to reach by I'm 30:
- definitely have a bun in the oven!
I found out yesterday that I get to be a bridesmaid in one of my friends wedding!! She got engaged 3 days before Christmas and is getting married in less than 5 months! I love them together!!
Anyway, I think that pretty much sums up my last post of 2010! I'm off to do loads of laundry, a puzzle, unload the dishwasher, take down Christmas decorations, clean the bathrooms, and pack! Crazy day! Everyone have a great new year! I will see you in 2011!! AGHH!

Looking back on 2010
So lets look back!
January: I was fresh outta school, had graduated in December and started retaking Anatomy and Physiology 1, hoping I could get back into nursing school for the fall semester. Kenneth took me to see TSO for the first time. When he told me he was doing this for me, I was very meh.. but after I saw it I was like WOW! It was a good night.
February: We fell in love with a church and it kinda breaks our heart that we could be leaving it soon.
March: We, my dad and sisters, took a cruise to the Carribean for spring break! It was so much fun, and I'm glad that we got a last bonding trip in before I got married.
April: My 24 birthday! I found out I wasn't accepted into nursing school.
May: We signed our lease! That was a stressful time for me, because I loved so many places and could see us living at any of them, but there were a few that were beyond affordable.
June: I started babysitting again. I do miss it, but know I'm getting too old for that to happen.
July: My sister-in-law got married! And I was able to see Memphis fireworks!
August: I found out I got a job helping a teacher with special needs kids. Little did I know how tiring this job would be.
September: Crazy month before the wedding.. yea.
October: I got MARRIED!! We had a great honeymoon in Orlando, and I wish we could go back. I had to get used to living with a man, and how things aren't going to be perfect 100 percent of the time as much as I would like that.
November: Another crazy month.
December:
I had a few new things for me this year. So for 2011, I'm sure there will be many new things. Kenneth and I are talking about getting out of the Boro. We aren't sure what all that means, but I have started the ball rolling in applying to a few nursing schools that are out of my comfort zone in places I know. I'm also looking at apartments in the areas of these colleges so I know what to do when I do find out.
Yea, you did just read that sentence right. I'm trying nursing school again. My ideal would be a community college, but I have found a college that I can get my BSN in 16 months going full time! I think that might be a good option for me too. Either way, we are looking at at least till 2013 till I have my dream job. And then it will be time to put hubby through school.
